Who is responsible

FAASHAUS, LLC operates Become Historic and the Prehistoric storefront. This notice explains how we handle personal information collected through the store, customer accounts, orders, pickup coordination, email and related support.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide, including your name, email address, phone number, account credentials, pickup and billing address, order details, communication preferences and messages you send us. We also receive technical information needed to secure and operate the store, such as session identifiers, browser details and basic request logs.

If you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics may receive information about how you use the store, including pages, interactions, general traffic source, device and approximate location derived from network information. If you later allow marketing cookies, configured advertising providers such as Meta may receive browser and interaction information used to measure promotions.

How we use it

• Process orders, coordinate local pickup and provide customer support.
• Create and secure accounts, remember preferences and prevent misuse.
• Send receipts, payment updates, pickup notices and other transactional messages.
• Send drops and field notes only when you have chosen to receive them.
• Understand and improve the store when analytics consent is granted.
• Measure advertising when marketing consent is granted.
• Meet tax, accounting, fraud-prevention and other legal obligations.

Who helps us operate

We disclose information only as reasonably needed to service providers that support the store or when required by law. Current provider categories include DigitalOcean for hosting and asset storage, Resend and Microsoft for email, Google Analytics when analytics consent is granted, and Venmo when you choose to complete payment through its service. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.

We do not exchange personal information for money. We do not use optional analytics or advertising tools unless the corresponding consent is granted.

Cookies and tracking

Necessary cookies support the cart, checkout, account security and your saved privacy choice. Optional analytics and marketing tools stay off until you choose them. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time.

Email choices

Promotional email is optional. When you join through a public signup form, we send a confirmation link and do not add you to the active list until you use it. You can change your account preference or use the unsubscribe link in any promotional message. Order, security and account-service messages may still be sent when needed to complete a transaction or protect your account.

Retention and security

We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here. Order and payment records may be retained for accounting, tax, dispute and legal obligations; account information is generally retained while the account remains active; and marketing preferences are retained as needed to honor your choice. We use administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect personal information, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information, subject to identity verification and records we must retain. Depending on where you live, additional rights may apply, including the right to obtain a portable copy of information or appeal a decision about a privacy request. You can opt out of promotional email and optional tracking at any time. We honor supported Global Privacy Control signals by keeping marketing tracking off.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

Children

The store is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
